Whenever I play Final Fantasy, if someone gets on my nerves I can add them to my "Blacklist"... meaning I no longer see their annoying comments. It would be kinda cool to have this feature on forums. Then you can simply turn off the people that cause problems for you.

At first is sounds good, but then you have to think how strange it would be to read threads where you see people's responses to the messages that you now cannot see. It's like that at IMDB, and it gets frustrating pretty quick.

Kura - Yeah, I thought about that. Maybe it can just show their name along with an empty message? You could always take them off of your blacklist if you think it is throwing things out of whack.

we have an ignore function at the forum I mod at. Basically, it shows that the ignored person posted a message, but the message is a hyperlink that if clicked will reload the thread with the ingored comments visible. I never use it, but many people do.

Yeah, ive seen what aristole is talking about on other forums too, it works pretty well.. but isnt a better solution just to sort your problems with people out over pm instead of splitting the community?
