Ok. Interview number one for me. I'm sure I'll get better at this.
Looking through the window at mooncat.
lapunx: Would you like to give us your real name?
mooncat: My real name is Fabienne. its a french name. but people just call me Fab.
lapunx: How old are you?
mooncat: 22
lapunx: Are you an only child?
mooncat: No, I've got a brother, too.
lapunx: Where do you live?
mooncat: I live in Switzerland, in a small quiet village of 500 inhabitants only.
lapunx: How long have you been using the name "mooncat"? Have you had any other screen names?
mooncat: I've been using that name ever since I stepped into the magical world of the web, which was late '97. mooncat or the shorter moonie some online friends made up are my only screen names.
lapunx: Are you more interested in design/art or code/technical things?
mooncat: Actually both. I'm more familiar with art and design though, but trying to get better at coding right now.. and with the inner technical life of my computer too
lapunx: Do you have a job in the web or computer field?
mooncat: Yes, I work fulltime as a webpublisher for a bank.
lapunx: That sounds like you have a lot of responsibility.
mooncat: Not really. I think it sounds "bigger" than it actually is. But maybe I've just grown used to it. Sure, I need to keep all the financial info on the website up to date without any mistakes in the interest rates and so on. But I usually do fine, as long as I'm awake and concentrated at work.
lapunx: Do you have any interest in a different career?
mooncat: Not at all right now. I'm very fond of computers and design/art/drawing since I was 7 or 8, and now I've just made my hobby become my job, and I like it that way.
lapunx: Do you have a significant other in your life?
mooncat: No.
lapunx: What is your favorite food?
mooncat: Italian and Chinese food all the way ..as long as there is no meat in it, I'm a vegetarian since 9 years now
lapunx: Favorite band?
mooncat: Oh, there are way too many. I hope you don't mind when I list the favorites out of my favorites.

lapunx: Are you a big Monty Python fan?
mooncat: Yes, I like that kind of black british humour alot.
lapunx: What languages do you speak?
mooncat: my native language is Swissgerman. Then I speak German, French, English and some Spanish
lapunx: Have you ever travelled outside of Switzerland?
mooncat: Yes, I've been to Germany, France, Italy, Greece, Sweden, England and the USA
lapunx: Which is your favorite and least favorite country?
mooncat: I liked the USA alot, but didn't have that many conact with the people there. Therefore, Sweden is my favorite country I'd say, because the people there just impressed me alot.
My least favorite is probably Switzerland or Germany, mainly because of the mentality people got there..
lapunx: Were you born in Switzerland?
mooncat: Where I still live now, I've never moved so far. I live close to a small town west of the country, in the french-speaking part of Switzerland
lapunx: Do you have any desire to move in the future?
mooncat: Yes definitely. First of all, I will move to my own apartment (hopefully by the end of summer). I could also imagine moving away from Switzerland one day, there is not much that holds me to that country.
lapunx: Will you stay in Europe?
mooncat: Who knows? Whatever my future brings, I really don't know yet.
lapunx: What would you like people to know about you more than anything else?
mooncat: Hmm thats a tough question..
lapunx: I'm trying to dig deep.
mooncat: I noticed. But it's hard to say something good about yourself.. I think its more interesting to let the others find out about you on their own, to get to know you on their own and have their own opinion about you..
